February 24 is celebrated by Twin Peaks fans worldwide as the day when the character of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper arrived in the town of Twin Peaks.
When Special Agent Dale Cooper entered the town of Twin Peaks, he drove past the "Welcome To Twin Peaks" sign - which is a real place in Snoqualmie, Washington. Fans gather there every year at 11:30am to celebrate Cooper's arrival in Twin Peaks.
February 24 is officially recognized as Twin Peaks Day in multiple municipalities within the State of Washington. Since 2018, the Cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie have officially recognized Twin Peaks Day. The City of Carnation has done so since 2023, and King County since 2024.
Twin Peaks continues to captivate television viewers around the world with scenes filmed the Snoqualmie Valley that emphasize the natural beauty and history of our region. Twin Peaks has drawn tourists to the area for more than 35 years, and has placed many Snoqualmie Valley locations, landmarks, and businesses into popular culture.

The Twin Peaks Pilot premiered on April 8, 1990, and the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me premiered at the North Bend Theatre on August 16, 1992.
