What Is Twin Peaks Day?

Twin Peaks Day celebrates the groundbreaking television series created by David Lynch and Mark Frost which debuted in 1990 and changed television forever.

Why February 24th?

February 24 is the day when the character of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper arrived in the town of Twin Peaks.

Where?

When Agent Cooper entered Twin Peaks at 11:30am on the 24th, he drove past the "Welcome To Twin Peaks" sign - which was filmed in Snoqualmie, Washington. Fans gather at the "sign spot" every year to celebrate Agent Cooper's arrival.

Twin Peaks Day Is Official?

February 24 is officially recognized as Twin Peaks Day in multiple municipalities within the State of Washington. Since 2018, the Cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie have officially recognized it each year. The City of Carnation has done so since 2023, and King County since 2024.

Why Snoqualmie Valley?

Twin Peaks has drawn tourists to the area for more than 35 years to visit the many Snoqualmie Valley locations, landmarks, and businesses featured in the show.

How Can I Celebrate Twin Peaks Day?

Grab a damn fine cup of coffee and a slice of cherry pie. Gather with fellow fans to rewatch your favorite episodes. Wear cosplay. You could even come join other fans in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Other Important Twin Peaks Dates?

The Twin Peaks pilot episode premiered on April 8, 1990, and the film _Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me_ premiered at the North Bend Theatre on August 16, 1992.
